The Menu
Our philosophy, fresh is best is infused throughout our menu. Since opening in 2005, we continue to offer all natural, hormone free beef, organic chicken, and sustainable fin and shellfish. We support seasonal farmers market grown produce for our vegetarian and vegan diners. Our menu evolves throughout the year to showcase the best of the season from Strawberry Spring Salad to an autumnal Duck Confit Cassoulet. This dedication to quality continues in our dessert menu with hand crafted sorbets, gelatos and confections.
The Space
The historic building, originally the Villa Rosa trolley station, belies the sophisticated interior. Entering via the seasonal cocktail patio, guests are welcomed into the contemporary main dining room with plush banquettes, expansive windows and a soothing color palate. Just beyond is a masterful juxtaposition of the historic and modern: the immense Oak Bar and Chefs exhibition kitchen. One of the most impressive in Connecticut, the Oak Bar, circa 1870, is an architectural jewel originally from New Orleans. Of equal importance is the expansive open kitchen where the Chef and culinary staff create dishes of distinction. Past the bronze Beaux Arts chandeliers and the wall of wine is the fireplace room. This attractive dining space not only has flirtatious views of the sound but also a cozy corner to relax around the fireplace.
The Amenities
The Beach House is ready to host your next private or celebratory event in either of our intimate dining rooms (seated dinner up to 40 guests.) For large corporate events or receptions, the restaurant can accommodate up to 150 seated guests. Conversely, the epitome of intimate dining is a custom crafted meal for 8 at the Chefs Counter. Regardless of size, we can customize multi coursed dinner menus, cocktail parties or buffets for your event of a lifetime.
